Founder Story
I knew from the age of 15 that I wanted to do hair and one day own a salon. There was something about the energy of the salon chair watching a woman sit down one way and leave feeling completely transformed that stuck with me. I fell in love with the reactions, the smiles, and that noticeable shift in confidence after an appointment. While I was still in cosmetology school, I had the opportunity to assist a celebrity hairstylist for four years. That experience took me behind the scenes in Hollywood, working on set with some of the biggest names in the industry. It taught me not only the craft of hair, but also the importance of detail, consistency, and creating a luxury experience no matter who sits in your chair. From there, I started building my own path. I rented a booth for four years, then transitioned into a private suite for two years, before finally opening my own salon in 2018. Each step was intentional, stretching me, teaching me, and preparing me for the next level. I can truly say the journey was hand-drafted by God. I've always had a deep love for textured hair. But through years of working behind the chair, I realized that not every product was created with textured hair in mind. So many of the products I tried on clients barely worked they coated the hair instead of nourishing it. And what worked beautifully for one client often fell flat for another. As I began to formulate and create my own treatments in the salon, the birth of RAPHA naturally followed a line designed to truly restore, not just mask, textured hair. To me, it's about more than styling it's about healing. Healing hair, restoring confidence, and helping women see themselves the way I always saw them: beautiful, worthy, and whole. And most importantly, showing women with textured hair that their hair too can grow and flourish. That's the heart behind RAPHA - a journey of restoration, a celebration of textured beauty, and a reminder that your crown was always meant to shine. Rooted in nature, crowned in confidence.
